Hello my dear friends!
I was just checking my blog now and since I'm home right now and haven't got much to do I decided to update ...yeah... it's kinda weird to now do an update which is completely about stuff that have to do with my life in Chile. But...well...let's see what I can remember. It probably won't be that interesting, so if you have something else to do, you better stop reading now... if not, then go on and let's see where this might take us!

OK! So, last thing I wrote about was me arriving home. It was quite nice I must say! Seeing my family, my nanny! My dog! And of course, my friends. That night I arrived was fun... but even though my body was here, my mind was still all the way across the Atlantic. And it stayed there for let's say 2 or 3 weeks, until I finally realised that the best thing to do was just to assume that I was here, that this is my real life, but that everything I lived was the greatest experience ever and just because it was "over" it wasn't a reason to be sad, but to be happy
And so, I got out of my "depression"!
Thomas and I haven't stopped having daily contact ever since we took separate ways in Paris that July 29th afternoon. We've talked on the phone, emailed everyday, or sent sms's. We hear from each other everyday, even if it's just an sms. That's enough to keep me happy for now . Just knowing he's ok.
He already bought his plane ticket to come to Chile as well so I can officially start a new countdown! They should be...*counts*....I'm guessing they'd be 84 days, yeah so yay for that!!

I've been quite busy with university as well. Having quite a tough semester with 7 subjects!! hehe well well, what else could I expect after having such a long holiday! I kind of deserve it now. If everything turns out fine, I should be done with University december 2006! and then get my diploma in may 2007! After that I can move to Europe my dear people . So make some space for me!
I've seen my friends at Uni and that's also been nice. About two weeks after I arrived, Gianfranco organised a little welcome party for me at his house (you'll see pics, I promise! ). That was quite nice! Most of my Uni friends were there and also Alvaro. And also some people I'm not that much friends with, but ah well
What matters is that I had a nice time. Then some days later, August 29th, Pamela a friend from Uni had birthday and we celebrated it at Astrid's flat (you'll see pics as well ) hehe. Now you all must get used to the new names I'll be mentioning here! No more talking about Nikki, Cal, Lynsey... but hey! I do keep in touch with the three of them . Not very often, but we do communicate from time to time. Same with Hervé, Josh and Jared. I still want to contact other people, but I need time to sit in front of the computer and send a bunch of emails. I'll try to do it soon, before too many tests and exams come my way
So, that birthday was also nice, just a female meeting with the 6 of us...or were we 7? Lol, I think we were 6
After that I had to concentrate a lot on studying for a very big test I had on September 10th... it's behind me now and I hope I did good.
Phew... it's hard to try to find interesting or fun stuff to tell you guys! Life isn't that interesting anymore... I mean...it might be, but since things here are more normal for me, I don't know how to describe them to make them sound fun
Alvaro had birthday on Sept 8th and we celebrated it at his place I'll puit up pics too!

So, this weekend is a long weekend, cause it's our national day! Well, it was on Sept 18th . So every year families gather and celebrate together! Barbeques are a must! And so are a bunch of typical chilean customs and drinks and food. A group of friends organised bbq and invited me, that was Sept 17th . I had a great time!! I even drank some alcohol and I met people I hadn't seen in ages! And also people I didn't know, but who were nice as well . There was a lot of yum stuff to eat too. I have a friend named Caro who plays the drums and we've been friends for over a year and a half now. We've met to play some muse songs a few times and last night at the bbq I made a proposition to her: some friends at Uni asked me whether I'd like to play live at some activities they're organising in October... so I thought "what the hell...why not! " SO I accepted... but then I realised I'd be quite scared to go on stage all by myself and sing a couple songs. So I asked Caro to join me! I also asked a cousin of mine to play bass with us. That's gonna be way cool, and something I've never done in my life . I've always been shy, and doing something like this would help me release myself!
I hope I won't get too many people throwing tomatoes at me though
Tomorrow, Sept 19th, is also a holiday, so yay, no school! I don't have any plans in particular, but I think I'll have to do some stuff for Uni
I talked to Thomas a couple hours ago and that's always nice and always makes me feel good

Guyssssssss ... I miss you a whole lot!
I'm so sorry that I have to be this far away. But hey, I'm planing to go there July 2006. Yes! I might wanna go visit Thomas then. But...even if for some reason we're not together (like, if he breaks up with me or something ) I'd still love to go to The Netherlands . So, I'll save as much money as I can and hopefully we'll see each other again.
This wasn't a very long update, but as soon as nicer and cooler things happen around here, then I'll let you guys know.
Thanks for reading, love you and miss you all

Caro

Helloooo everybody!
After two weeks of complete silence I have decided to return here and do a new update! The layout of the site doesn't really apply to the actual circumstances anymore but ah well, I'll see if Michiel has the time to change it a bit

So! That last little update was made the day I left, August 4th... what happened the days before that?
It all started with the first "goodbye's" which we all prefered to call " see you later's" . I met wonderful people and it was so hard when they all slowly started to leave until the only one left was me.
The first people to leave were Elodie and Thibault, the frenchie couple. They left in the middle of June. Some updates ago I talked about that. After them, about 3 days later it was Anne's turn, another frenchie. And then Frederic, another Frenchie. Which left Thomas as the only Frenchie left in our group. But that didn't exactly mean that he'd have no more people to speak French with! After that, in the middle of July, next one to leave was Florence, my dear belgian friend . Of course, her and Hervé came both from Brussels and hence both spoke French . Flo and Hervé had been busy during those days writing their Thesis. And when they were done, or almost done, Flo organised a nice grill party in the yards of her dormitories (pictures will be added ) to celebrate that she was done and also to say bye to all of us. She had asked me to prepare a typical chilean drink I had talked about: Pisco Sour. So she bought pisco, I brought the lemons and prepared it. Of course, everyone liked it
That day was really nice, the weather was beautiful, there was a little pool outside and a lot of people had come. It was great . I already talked about this party in my last update about Berlin and Bright Eyes... but in this update I want to remember all the people who were leaving.
So...after Flo left, I was away a lot, first to Berlin and then to the Netherlands (for the Brian meetup ).

The Brian meetup was GREAT ! On the 22nd Poly and her dad picked me up in Cologne and took me to Maastricht . So I stayed at Poly's that night. The next day she had to work, but I stayed at her place.... in her room as usual I didn't dare to go downstairs to see her mum...cause well I'm shy!!! . So then she arrived, I had already showered and was ready to go!
Her mum brought us to the train station, first we picked up Mechteld (she's really ncie btw ) and then we jumped on the train!
AFter about two hours we arrived in Utrecht and headed to the Trefpunkt. And there was Brian, Ayla, Jasper, Frank, Collins (brian's friend) and Wam. After we arrived, Hester arrived as well. I gave Brian a hug , altho he was a bit quet at first I guess it was too much emotion .
Afterwards we went walking around a bit and then sat somewhere in the centre in Utrecht. Brian had brought a t-shirt and we all signed it and in the end he gave it to me, which was so nice . But I thought it was unfair I got a signed t-shirt and he didn't! So I said we all should sign the t-shirt he was wearing, which conveniently enough, was completely white . So we all signed it and people who were passing by were looking at us in a weird way
Later we went to uhmmmm... what was the name of it? Help! Well it was some fair or little amusement park. We baked Poffertjes (sp??) some nice typical dutch (??) pastries. Later we rode a crazy merry go around thing...is that the name? And I sat there with Wam .It was fun cause there was a man moving the thing too and making us spin around!
That was way cool! Then we sat somewhere where kids were making ice creams by cycling static bikes... or something
after a while we started getting hungry and we looked for the restaurant where Hester, Michiel, Japke, Wam, Ayla and I ate together during my first time in Utrecht *sigh*... it's so amazing to think back... I love what I have, those are all MY experiences an even tho they're in the past, I lived all of it and no one, NOT ONE , can take them away from me . So even though I miss all of you guys, we had a great time together and it's in us now . And I'm sure we'll meet again.
Before finding the restaurant, I demanded to find an Albert Heijn so I could get some dutch candies to bring back to Chile
We found the restaurant! I think it's called Mr. Jack? well something like that
I ordered the same thing I had ordered exactly, well almost exactly, 5 months ago: Tuna Pizza!
Dinner was great, we laughed so much. And Brian was a sweetheart and he payed for our second round of drinks! And he was just like I imagined he would be . It was amazing to meet you, or like Cal would say: FABULOUS!!!

Mechteld, Poly and I had to leave around 9, because we couldn't be later than 11 in Maastricht. So Ayla went on the same train with us. It was time for new "see you later's" . Before we went for dinner, Wam was the first one to leave... I didn't want to let her go so I kidnapped her arm for some minutes and then, well, she left . Waaaaaaaammie.
And then after dinner, the rest of the group walked us over to the train station. I didn't want it to end
I hugged Hes and Brian very tight and then the others too, which also made the day nicer
Aaaahhhh it was great!!! .
The four of us went in the train and kept waving at them through the window....until the train started moving and then they were all running next to it until we faded away... hehe but it was nice
After about 45 minutes or something, Ayla was the next to leave the train, cause she had to take another one to go to Oosterhout....or was it a bus? Well she had to change . And I didn't want her to . Ayla and I had a special bond which is Bright Eyes! hehe, but we also developed a cool connection, we always talked a lot, so I knew I'd miss her a lot too!! I gave her one last tight hug and then she left! and according to her she kept staring at our window before the departure of the train...but I didn't see
The three of us continued our way to Maatricht, talking and laughing on the train .
We arrived in Maastricht and Poly's father picked us up, we dropped Mechteld home and then continued the way to Poly's.
Sunday afternoon we visited Mecht for a moment and then Poly and her dad took me back to Germany, only this time they left me in Düsseldorf
Poly! I miss you little dutch sister! It was incredible to be in the netherlands and to meet you! And we'll meet again, I'm sure
They left me on my train to Dortmund. And then I waved at them from it.
I dropped a couple tears, but I was so happy at the same time to have met all these people!!!! you all rock so much. I wish I could gather all my friends in one place instead of having them spreaded all over the world but at the same time I feel good for that cause the world feels much smaller now

After that...I knew things could only get sadder and sadder...
The night I arrived I started taking things off my walls and packing my bags. Thomas came by, I gave him a very tight hug! and he said the group would meet at Muckefuck for the last time... I was really tired, but there were people I had to say bye to...for which I wasn't feeling ready, but I had to.
We arrived a bit late, so when we walked in the bar Eaming was leaving, she had tears in her eyes...I gave her a big hug ...Eaming was so cool and nice! She was going to France the next day, so she had to say bye to a lot of people too. That was sad
Then we stayed inside with Herve, Jared, Lynsey, Gerrit-Jan, Nicky... and I was wondering where Nikki was! And then she suddenly called to Thomas' cellphone saying she couldnt be there that night and that she was leaving to Berlin very early the next day, so she wouldnt come back to Dortmund after that... I said I'd meet her early in the morning the next day (monday) to say bye
So, it was getting late...and they were closing the bar... so... I said bye to Lynsey, cause she was leaving monday. And to Gerrit-Jan, cause I wasn't sure I'd see him again. Lynsey was the sweetest, she's great, pretty and nice. I added her to msn now, so I hope we stay in touch .

So, the next day I got up early to go to the parking lot to say bye to Nikki she had an envelope with her name and address which she gave to me... so I'll write her a letter as soon as I can . We hugged for a moment and then Thomas came to the parking lot too. We had a grouphug and then she left ...her and Flo were like my closest Dortmund friends I'd say... but in general, all of us were a group, it was so great I feel so lucky to have met all of them!!!!
After that, me and Thomas went back to our appartments to keep packing... next people to leave were Herve and Jared . Jared was gonna take the flight back home from Brussels, and Hervé's dad was gonna pick Hervé up, so they'd take him with them.
They left tuesday afternoon, around 2 or 3pm. Nicky was also there, and I wasn't sure I'd see her again, so I said bye to her too. And to Hervé and Jared .. and then they went away and Thomas and I stayed again in the parking lot... we just looked at each other, with sad eyes... we knew we were next and were not looking much forward to it.

Next day, wednesday the 27th both of us had to give back our keys to the hausmeister. That night we'd both sleep in Cal's kitchen and go to Paris very early on thursday. There I'd stay with Thomas two days and come back by bus on saturday...alone
*Sigh*...this is hard guys! I like remembering but it's starting to get me sad.. ...but let's go on!
So! The last Dortmund person we'd say bye to was Cal! Thomas and I thought it was cool. He arrived that night from Berlin (he had been there with his mum) and we were already settled in his kitchen hehehe We gave him a hug and he didn't look sad at all, I always liked that about him, always smiley and cheering hehe. Then he went to bed, and so did we.
Next morning we got up around 6am and left the dorms around 7...
I was veeeeery sleepy, so I slept a bit in the car, while Thomas was driving. After a few hours we were already in France! And we made a stop somewhere in the highway to have something to eat. There were loads of bugs! so we didn't stay long hehe. Sorry Thom!
It took us about 6 hours to finally be in Paris. And then we had to find his cousin's apartment. It was a bit rainy, so we stayed inside for a while and then later we went walking around Paris! First he took me to Notre Dame...funnily enough I didn't realise it was it until he told me hehe
and then we walked around some other random places...and some others that aren't that random I just cannot remember all the French names! but I'll upload a few pictures
The next day, his cousin arrived from her trip. She was sooooooooooooo nice and she happens to be an English teacher, so she has a very cool brittish accent! she made me feel really comfortable and seemed quite happy to meet me!
That day, friday, Thomas took me to the Eiffel tower (of course) and then the ermmmmmmmmm well I don't know exactly what you call it in english, but well, we say Arco del Triunfo
And then some nice avenue (Champs something )with shops and stuff and we walked in a very veeery big music shop, it was so cool. And it was past 10pm but it was open til 12am! And they had a lot of Bright Eyes
After that we went outside and sat on a bench... and then the drama started... well at least from me.. I couldn't stop thiking about what was going to happen less than 20 hour later... so some tears fell from my eyes...and for the first time he cried a tiny bit too. I had cried before, but I never saw him cry. Well... it was completely normal...I couldn't stop thinking about it anymore, like i did other times.
Anyway, after a moment we got up and went back to his cousin's flat. The day was very very nice
But the crying went on during the night too
Next morning I woke up feeling a bit better... buit it was just a shield I was wearing.
My bus was gonna leave around 3pm. We had breakfast, I said bye to his cousins and then we went to the station.
And there the crying didn't stop anymore until I got on the bus. While waiting for the bus to be there, we sat together and used up quite some tissues hehe for our poor eyes. After the bus was there and they started calling the people, he went there with me... and like, 5 seconds before going inside the bus, I took off my necklace, the one I've been wearing since I'm 14 and I gave it to him and said " I want you to take care of this" and he took it and well, he felt sad cause he didn't have anything to give to me, but it was ok. He had given me love and that's what matters the most.
And then...phew... I sat by the window and we were staring at eachother, still crying, until the bus started moving...that was such a torture cause the bus started moving once and I thought "ok, this is it!" and then after two meters it stopped argh that was so horrible. And he kept looking at me and holding my necklace in his hand and and.. argh...it was so sad...
The a couple minutes later the bus moved again...and this time it didn't stop... I kept looking through the window until I couldn't see him anymore... ...and then layed back on my seat and cried and cried...luckily no one was sitting next to me.
I was about 8 hours on that bus... I did calm down for some hours but then cried again. I just didn't want to go back to Dortmund anymore, I was wishing I could just take a plane back to Chile right that moment. It was gonna be a major torture to be in that city, full of memories...but feeling empty. From that day on I'd stay at Philipp's place and study for my last exam. Those days sucked so hard. And they seemed so fucking long. Frank (Frankeeeh, Frankz0r, dushi ) wasnt able to make it to the Brian's meetup, but we wanted to say bye anyway, so he proposed to come for one day to visit me. That was so SO nice of him and it surely made one of those horrible days much much nicer . So we met in Düsseldorf on monday, at the airport, cause then he could park his car there and not worry about looking for parking in the city. And he rode the Sky train!
He didn't like the city much hehe, but we walked loads and loads and also went to a few shops, looking for a Yoda action figure . We couldn't find one
We also ate Donner Kebab and were confused about which was which cause we ordered two different ones and then they brought them and were like errr which is which! So I just grabbed the one that was easier to eat hehe...and then he felt a bit sick so he couldn't finish his !
We got up and kept walking some, til we reacher the river, the Rhein. There we sat down again and talked some .
Then it was almost time for me to go...so we started looking for the train station... and for a moment we were lost ... but then we finally found it! we took the train and he got off at the airport station...I gave him a big hug and thanked him for coming and making my day! Thanks so much dushi and thanks for the bonbonblocs and the stroopwafels and keel pastilles

Then I sat down and thought...ok...no these last three days left are gonna be the worst ever...
And they kinda were, cause I had nothing to do, nothing. And I couldn't concentrate in studying... and I couldn't be much at the University cause everything, everything!! reminded me of Thomas and my friends. It sucked!!
Each day seemed longer than the previous one. And I was ashamed to talk to Philipp and his gf about how sad I was feeling. Still, it was super nice of them to have me at their apartment.
I called Thomas a couple times and I also emailed him.

Thursday was finally there! I first took my big suitcase to the airport in Düsseldorf to have it checked in. Then came back to Dortmund, took my exam, said bye to Philipp and took the rest of my stuff (quite a lot of hand luggage, about 5 pieces ) to the airport. I arrived there, I could hardly carry all my stuff! I had too much hehe. Finally made it to the gates, hehe, and I was so afrai they'd say "hey!! your hand luggage cannot be that big, leave something here! " but luckily they didn't .
I sat on the plane and could finally rest. And I didn't feel so sad to go home. I actually wanted to, cause it didn't make much sense anymore to be there in dortmund.
First stop was in Frankfurt...phew... my poor hands were all red from carrying all those plastic bags and I could only walk 3 steps and then sit...3 steps and then sit...and that airport is so HUGE!! I finally reached my gate, I was all sweaty already hehehe and waited for the call.
Got on the plane and that was the last time I set foot in Germany...I read in Harry Potter 4 a lot
Then there was one stop in Brasil, but I didn't have to leave the plane, so I stayed inside...
and about 4 or 6 hours later...Chile!!
I grabbed all my stuff again, carried them a bit...I was wearing like 3 jackets! they just didn't fit my suitcase and finally after passing through security and stuff I saw my parents and my friend Daniela, who were all waiting for me
I got out, hugged them and asked for help, cause I simply couldn't carry all that stuff anymore
We went in my dad's car and started the way from Santiago to Quilpué, my home town
There Alvaro, Milka and my nanny were waiting for me I hugged them tight!!!
And later that night we met at Alvaro's place with some other friends: Claudia, the other Claudia, Pancho, his gf Romi, PEdro (alvaro's brother) and Felipe. I was SO jetlagged hehe, so I was looking all sleepy, all night, but I had fun, we played a trivia board game

SO... this is quite a big update already!!!
And frankly, I could go on telling about my first chilean days...but let's leave that for the next one.

thanks for reading, hope it was fun!! And we'll meet again! I know it! And soooner than we think

lots of love

Caro

PS: I'll add the pictures tonight

So!
I was gonna do a normal update a couple days ago, but I didn't have time, so I will do that one when I¿m back in Chile

I just wanna say this was great, I had the time of my life, I met people I never thought I¿d met and everything turned out so much better than I could ever imagine.
I'm glad I could be an exchange student and now I¿m glad that I have all these experiences behind me. IT will surely help me to keep growing up. Cause yeah, I did grow up a bit I must admit!

Thanks to all my dutchie friends for being so nice to me and having me in your houses! I hope I didn't cause you any trouble! And thanks to those who visited me, it was great
Thanks to the few German people that I met hehe...it's funny that I hardly met any germans tho!
But well, it was nice .
And of course the few Irish people as well!
Thanks to Michiel for creating this site for me, I appreciate it my dear belgian friend

My fellow exchange students, not too many of you check this site, but if for some reason you do, thanks for all the support and the good times! Thanks for the friendship... it felt all very real and now it's a pity that it's over...
But I'll try to keep in touch with the most of you

And last but not least, thanks to Thomas for making my time here so incredibly happy
I don't know if things would¿ve been so great if you hadn't been here too .
And I know we'll both be strong and will resist these months apart...it will be worth it in the end, like all this time has been, even tho it's making us suffer right now.
Te Amo!

So... thanks to everyone for reading all about my adventures!
I'm not sure yet, but I might keep writing from Chile...won't be that fun, but ah well

love you guys

Soooooo here I am again! after three weeks . yeah, didnt have the proper chance and I also wanted to wait until the next bright eyes concert so that i could make one big update
I'm at Wam's place now, she's still sleeping hehe and since I couldnt sleep anymore she sent me to the computer

And now it's almost a week after that first paragraph! I had the intention to update while I was at Wam's but after I typed that she woke up so we had breakfast and then got dressed and went out to meet Japke ...but anyway, let's respect the chronological order of the facts, shall we?

OK...so, what interesting things have happened since my last update? Well well, can't remember all of them, it's been almost a month! but lets see what I can tell...

July 1rst we celebrated Flo's birthday at Thomas' and Herve's flat. It was quite nice, we were just a few people, Flo made a nice drink and made me taste it! and then we ate dinner together and played some guitar. Lynsey came over a bit later with her brother Dara who was visiting her. He's 14 and they look alike I think, you'll see pics . Afterwards there was a Summer party here in our dorms, so we went there around 11pm and met some other people like Eaming, Nikki, Cal, Luigi, Hans etc. Had a nice time there too, we danced and it was cool cause I only had to go downstairs to be at the party . There's a very funny coreography that Lynsey, Josh and some others made up and they always dance it, I made a video that night, but it's sided hehehe I might upload it .
Saturday july 9th I went on a road trip to Heidelberg with Thomas it was very nice, we saw very pretty landscapes with castles and stuff all along the Rhein river. I'll post a few pics. Then in Heidelberg we walked some around the city, it's very very beautiful! and it was also quite a hot day, but nice. We went there cause there were gonna be some fireworks at night! Don't ask me why I think they just have fireworks every summer just cause it's summer or something . Germans! Oh and for the record, Germans don't know how to take pictures!!
Anyway, after the fireworks we walked another bit through the city, I heard so many people speak spanish I was almost forgetting what it sounded like
So, Heidelberg is quite far, and Thomas still had to drive back home! so on our way back we had to try very hard to keep him awake! lol, well, I had to try very hard, but I could hardly keep myself awake! But we arrived home safely, I think around 2:30am, can't remember exactly and then he ran to his bed and fell on it like a stone, hehe poor Tommy
Then tuesday july 12th...pam pam pam pam *drums*....Bright Eyes!!!! I know many of you, and especially Frank, are very excited to read all about my last Bright Eyes-Conor experience so here it goes, with as many details as I can remember...oh and lets also pay attention to all the UNlucky things that happened to me last week
First, july 11th I lost my key (unlucky thing number 1 ) I was so mad, cause I opened my mailbox downstairs and there was a package (some bright eyes cds and a tshirt I had ordered from Saddle Creek ) and I was so excited that I grabbed the package and left the poor key hanging and then went to Uni. I didnt think of my key until I came back home and couldn't find it in my bag or any pockets. Then I came upstairs, Thomas was in my room working on his computer and hadn't seen my key at all. I couldn't remember exactly what I had done with it, but I was worried as hell cause I knew that I'd had to pay a lot of money for it in case I wasn't able to find it . Anyway, the t-shirt I ordered turned out to be too big (unlucky thing number 2 ) so I put it on sale on ebay. Luckily it's been sold already . I'll order another one
So...at the end of the day I was still very frustrated about my key, trying to figure out where to get the 100 Euro I'd have to pay for it...until my asian roomate knocks on my door...and guess what! she was holding my key yeah she had found it downstairs in my mailbox, duh! So thank God she found it! I was so happy I almost hugged her! but I didnt lol.
So now everything was gonna be perfect the next day...or so I thought!
I got up quite early, cause i had many trains to catch! First I had to go from Dortmund to Düsseldorf, then Düsseldorf to Köln, and then Köln to Amsterdam...yeah, the things i do to save money . I was on trains for like 5 hours . So on the train from Düsseldorf to Köln I was very happy and excited! I had brought a cd case with bright eyes cds and some others. I took it out of my backpack so I could change the cd I was listening to and then I left it on the seat next to me... and it stayed there until I left the train (unlucky thing number 3 ) I didn't realise I left it inside the train until I was on the ICE on my way to Amsterdam I wanted to cry so loud! I lost about 6 original cds and a few burnt ones ... and the ICE was 25 minutes late! (unlucky thing number 4! ) grrr, so I had to wait for a while in Köln...I had a reservation for my seat, so I got on the train and started looking for my booked seat...and...it was taken (unlucky thing number 5 ) so I sat in another seat, cause I didnt want to make a whole fuss about it, it was ok. And then a boy comes and says "oh I have a reservation for this seat" but he just sat next to me and said it was ok .
So yeah, on the way to Amsterdam I was getting sick of listening to the same cd, so I wanted to change it and then I found out my cds weren't in my backpack anymore I wanted to jump off the train! hehe so then I started smssing a lot of people, telling them about my disgrace, sniff
So, around 1:30 pm or something I arrived in Amsterdam! and there were Ayla, Hester and her friend Judith waiting for me! It was nice to see them even tho I was so frustrated!
We walked a bit around Amsterdam, it was getting a bit hot, and then we sat on a terrace (spelling?) at Leidseplein? hehe I forgot the name .. before that I was sure I spotted a member of Bright Eyes the guy who plays violin for them. I saw him walking down a street and I grabbed Ayla's head and made her see but he was a bit far already. But then while we were having a drink at that place we saw him again he looked so sad and was walking all alone, poor thing. It was fun to spy on him tho . And he was wearing the exact same clothes as in Trier so it was quite easy to recognise him.
Anyway, after a while Poly sent me an sms to ask where we were! so then she arrived with her friend Anandi and her boyfriend, who didnt really speak much . It was nice to see Poly again too! we all sat there together and had a nice chat. Me and Ayla were constantly looking around to see whether we could see more Bright Eyes members
Afterwards we decided to go eat something before going to Paradiso, the venue where Bright Eyes would play. Poly's friend and her boyfriend had gone for a walk, so the rest of us went to a restaurant and had lunch (or was it dinner? lol) anyway, we ate! . And then we walked towards Paradiso where there were quite a few people waiting already! Paradiso was also a very nice venue, but not as nice as Kaiserthermen
At about 7:15 or something they opened the doors, so went inside and once again we managed to be on the front, which wasn't very hard, just a few girls were there too, and the other people didn't mind hehe.
So, we sat with our backs facing the stage, this time there was no space between the stage and us .
We waited there for a moment and then The Faint came out! They were brilliant again, its so much fun to watch them live! They have a lot of energy and you know for sure that you'll get a good show . Poly's friends arrived a bit later, so they couldnt be on the front with us, but apparently they really liekd the Faint .
They weren't as talkative as in Trier, but they were good anyway. After the Faint, the roadies came on stage again to start arranging things for Bright Eyes . Me and Ayla wanted a pic of a setlist that was glued on the floor, but it was too hard to make a pic, so they turned out pretty shitty and then Poly tried as well and some guy came and put the setlist in front of her cam so she could make a better pic hehehe . Ayla also got a setlist from The Faint!
So... it was 9:30 or something...pam pam pam pam *drums again*....the lights started to go out again *excitement* and they started coming on stage first everyone and then at the end Conor it's so silly tho, cause they have these big screens on the back of the stage where they project videos during the songs and at the beginning there is a hand writing numbers on a blackboard, like a countdown until Conor comes on stage, duh! Hehe it was the same in Trier, so me and Ayla already knew that
And there he came! he looked so huge, cause we were right in front so we had to look up to him the whole time but it was great! He didnt talk much, but we already expected that. And he also didn't drink much, but who knows how much he drank before or smoked! hihihi.
Me and Ayla also knew exactly on which songs he would approach to us, so everytime we knew he was gonna get closer or do something cool, we got our cams ready to take pics . During the end of "Neely O'hara" he came very close, we could even touch his hair and I didnt think of smelling it, but Ayla did and she says it smells good hehe. But I had his hair all over my face too so that was great And Poly cuddled his hair hehe ^_^. But anyway, when he got the closest to us was during Easy/Lucky/Free which is the last song and it was so cute that when he sang the word "Lucky" he was right in front of me ^_^ awwww. And for a moment he almost put the microphone on my mouth but I didn't dare to sing louder, I regret that now! And he kissed our foreheads :claps: very sweet wet kisses again he kissed the three of us and also a girl next to Ayla. And Poly got 2 kisses so we're even It would be funny if he remembered us from the other gig, but thats unlikely to happen hehe. And he always has all his hair on his face anyway so he can hardly see who he's kissing
After that and all the excitement it was finally over! I grabbed a bottle lid he dropped on stage while opening a bottle of Spa water and then we got setlists! yay.
After it was over we hung around there for a moment, didn't want to leave cause we knew it was finally over at least for me, its the last time I see him in who knows how long . But hey, who would've ever imagine I'd see him 3 times and that I'd have such a great time so yeah, I'm so happy for that, yay!!
Me and Ayla wanted to wait for him, so we stood outside the tour bus for a few minutes, saw Mike Mogis walk with his baby hehehe, and then get on a taxicab. No idea where he was going! But well, Poly's friends wanted to go, so me and Ayla had to go with them too . So no meeting Conor!
We all had to catch a train to Utrecht, I'd stay at Wam's, Poly with her friends and Ayla would be picked up there by her parents. So we were at the station around 12:10am... there was a train going at 12:16 so everyone rushed to the platform...but I yelled "hey! I don't have a ticket!". Ayla came with me to one of this automatic machines where you can buy train tickets, but we didn't have enough coins to buy one! so I had to run to the platform and catch Poly and ask her whether she had coins...so, she was boarding the train, and gave me the coins and then I ran to Ayla, but before I could go back to the machine the train started leaving (unlucky thing number 6 thought it was over huh? ). So me and Ayla had to wait for the next train which was at 12:55am. We sat outside the station for a moment, regretting not to have stayed outside that tour bus but ah well. Maybe we wouldn't have known what to tell him if we had met him anyway! I just wanted a pic with him
It was almost time to go, so we went to our platform and catched our train... unfortunately it was a stoptrain, so it took ages to get to Utrecht -_-.
As we arrived there, Wam was waiting for me and so were Ayla's parents, so I got to meet them hehe. They seemed nice
I gave Wam a big hug, we said bye to Ayla and went outside the station....oh no... I had to sit on Wam's bike again hehe it was so scary the last time, but I was ready for it! . Everything was fine until we arrived at her home...she forgot to tell me she was gonna stop, so I fell off the bike (unlucky thing number 7!! ). I just lost my balance and fell hahaha it's so funny when I remember it. My leg was hurting for a while, but it didn't get purple
Anyway, me and Wam stayed awake for a couple of hours, talked some I checked my emails and stuff and then went to bed, I was very tired! and excited too .
The next day I woke up a bit early, Ayla sent me an sms at 10am so then I couldnt go back to sleep! hehe. I got on Wam's computer, then she woke up and we got ready to go meet Japke! On our way to meet Jap I realised I had forgotten my Bright Eyes setlist on Wam's bed! (unlucky thing number 8! ) but well, she'll give it to me saturday, at Brian's meetup
So, we met Jap around 3:30pm! I hadn't seen her since april or something so it was great to see her again and it would be my time to say goodbye to her . I must mentioned she had a cute haircut as well .
The three of us went to sit on a park near Japke's house, Wam had bought some cookies, candies and also the card game UNO so we played that for a while, I think I won twice? correct me if I'm wrong
It was quite fun and the park was nice . Afterwards we went back to Jap's place and sat outside in some nice garden table...there were a few bugs bugging me tho! but all in all it was nice . Me and Wam had to catch a train to Arnhem where I would take a train to Duisburg and then to Dortmund...yeah, money saving again
So we said bye to Jap love you Jap!! and then got on our way.
As we arrived at the station we found out that there had been an accident and therefore no trains where going directly from Utrecht to Arnhem ... so, we had to first take a train to Den Bosch... then a train to Nijnmegen...then a train to Arnhem, finally! It took us so long to get to Anrhem and it was so hot in the trains! (unlucky thing number 9! ) Anyway, we were afraid I'd lose my train, cause the last ICE was at 8:15pm...so we arrived in Arnhem and apparently my train was gone!! (unlucky thing number 10! ) we asked a lady who worked for the trains whether there was another train, or whether i could get the money from the ticket back or so ( it was Wam's ticket tho ) when we suddenly hear that the ICE was coming cause it was half an hour late! (erase unlucky thing number 10! ) so we ran to the platform, I said bye to Wam and then got on the train!
I was a bit afraid to be checked inside the train, cause I had Wam's ticket from last time she went to visit me and she didnt get checked then so she gave me the ticket...so...instead of getting off in Duisburg I got off in Oberhausen...took a train from there to Dortmund Dorstfeld and then another one to the University...so wow, in sum I was on 6 trains in one evening! pretty tiring! hehe but I got home safe, still sad about my cds and about all the unlucky things happening! but ok. I had forgotten my keys in my room before I left on tuesday, so I asked Thomas to put them in my mailbox...so when I arrived all tired and stuff I stuck my hand into the mailbox...and no key -_- (unlucky tihng number 10! ). I sent a grumpy sms to Thomas who was at a party with Flo... I felt bad afterwards hehehe , but well, I was so grumpy and tired . Thomas came over to see me later, luckily he had left my key on my desk and my door wasn't locked, so I just rang the bell and one of my housemates opened the door for me
I had a class the next day at 8:30am but I couldn't get up, I was way too tired!
Then thursday evening it was Flo's Farewell party! She was gonna go back to Belgium, ( well first to London and then BElgium or something, she travells so much! ) so we got together in her Wohnheim to have a nice barbeque and stuff. I prepared a typical chilean drink called "Pisco Sour" most people liked it! . It was quite a nice evening! I saw some people I hadn't seen in quite a while, like Nikki, Cal, and Megan!!! I hadn't seen Megan in months!
So yeah, it was quite nice, but also quite sad to say goodbye to Flo she was my first Dortmun friend and was very nice and friendly to me from the start. So she'll be always special
Me and Thomas left the party around 12am or so. Also Kuba was there with his Spanish girlfriend Maria, I had met her in March already, she's soooo nice . So yay, I spoke loads of Spanish that night
Anyway, we went back home to start preparing our stuff for our trip to Berlin we had planned it for a looong time and it was finally there we'd go early on friday the 15th and come back sunday night . Everything was fine, we woke up on time, had our stuff ready, the tickets, the Bahncard, etc, everything was in order... the ICE was on time for once! we got on it, had nice seats, etc... but oh no...something bad had to happen... once again someone had the brilliant idea to jump in front of the train hehe I'm so mean! Anyway, the train stopped for over 2 hours in the middle of nowhere, before we could reach Hannover. We couldn't do anything about it, except waiting for the announcements the crew would make every once in a while (unlucky thing number 11! ). Finally they said we'd have to evacuate the train in the next station...so it started moving slowly and we stopped in a random station which name I forgot xD but well, it was in the middle of nowhere too hehehe and we were a whole lot of people standing on a tiny platform lol, and the sky was so threatening we thought it was gonna start raining...that would've been a horrible unlucky thing number 12th, but it didnt happen!
After lets say 20 minutes a new train arrived and we'd go on it all the way to Berlin....unfortunately it wasn't big enough for all the people...so me and Thomas had to sit on the hallway (unlucky thing number 12th! ) it was so uncomfortable and I was so tired and argh! but at least we were together
It was a long ride from Hannover to Berlin, I think in the first Berlin (zoologischer Garten or so) station we got to sit down finally! But it wasn't very long
We arrived in Berlin Ostbahnhof around 4:30pm instead of 12:50pm as we were supposed to
We dragged our stuff to the hostel where we'd stay, which seemed quite nice . I really needed to lay down and take a nap, so we stayed in our room until 7pm or so. Afterwards we went walking around Berlin! the wather wasn't the nicest tho! While we were in our room it was raining and thundering -_- but it got a tiny bit better when we got out We walked a lot, saw the Brandenburger Tor and some other nice monuments! I'll post pics of everything
We had a ncie ice cream too, I tihnk we had an ice cream everyday lol . Ate chinese food for dinner, quite nice and cheap. But well, we were both really tired, so we went back to the hostel again after our long walk and had some sleep. The next day we went to Potsdam! such a beautiful city! I love cities like that, with castles and stuff, it was very pretty and the weather was nicer . We walked, and walked and walked! Our feet were killing us, but it was totally worth it . And Thomas is a really good guide! Just give him a map and he will always know where to go . I would get lost even with a map, a compass, everything!
Anyway, we were back in Berlin around 6:30pm and went for another walk! This time we visited the German parliament, it was pretty cool inside, but outside it still looks old. Its called Reichstag, or something, lol.
We were lucky to go inside, cause they close at 10pm and we got in at like 9:50pm hehe. Stayed inside for a while and then went outside again. We had walked so much that day, so didn't stay outside too late hehe. Before going to the Parliament we visited the Sony Centre, a pretty cool building, and we had another ice cream there . And outside that centre there were people filming a movie or something, it was funny cause the actor was standing on the sidewalk, holding a guitarcase or something, and they never started shooting so he was standing there for quite a long time
We also saw some pieces of the Wall in some park hehe, that was strange they were randomly placed, like they didn't know what to do with them so "lets just leave these pieces of the wall on this field "
Anyway, Sunday was our last day, our train was at 7:41pm so we had a whole day to still walk loads and keep on killing our feet
we went to see the Siegersäule, I'll psot pics! And also the Gedächtnis Kirche, which is a church that was bomber during the war and they didn't repair it, so it's like all destroyed. According to Thomas, they left it like that on purpose as a memory of the destruction of Germany or something.
Later we went to a Souvenir shop, cause I wanted a pin of that funny figure in the traffic lights instead of the normal person standing up when it's red, and walking when it's green they have another guy called ampelman or something lol. Anyway, we finally found a souvenir shop that sold it and they also sold t-shirts with "good girls go to heaven, bad girls go to Berlin" ! What a rip off!
Anyway, we still walked a bit around some streets and finally went to see the wall, but not just pieces, but what's left of it, which has been turned into some work of art hehe. And on the other side of the wall there are bars and stuff with sand, its so weird
We walke along the wall and then went back to the train station to take our train
I was afraid that my bad luck rush would continue ut fortunately our train was on time and we arrived home at the time it was planned
I had a really nice time with Thomas there maybe I'm forgetting some things, but this update is so long that I really can't go on anymore

I hope you all enjoyed reading and of course, that you enjoy the pics!

Helloooooooo
I've slept like an hour last night, inbetween switching trains and stuff to make my way back home from Trier but I'll make an effort to update this thing cause I'm still a bit hyper it was amazing.

OK, so last weekend, actually last thursday the 16th until the 18th of June Wam came to visit me here in Dortmund! She had to come on thursday because the silly trains were on strike friday . I picked her up in Duisburg and then we came together to Dortmund .
We arrived here around 10:30pm I think and then Thomas asked if we wanted to go to his place cause there was a farewell meeting for Anne, who was going back to France the next day. Everyone's leaving already wuaaaa *cries* . I'm thinking I'm gonna go crazy when I go back home, it's so surreal. I mean, when I think about it, it sounds great to see my family and friends again and telling them all about my experience here, everything I've done, show them pictures, etc. I miss them!! But I wish I was just visiting and then I could come back here. Or maybe not come back immediately or forever no, but I wish I could come back anytime, you know? But I can't come back any time I want . I'll have to wait like years hehehe ok, let's stop being stupid and lets go on with this update
OK, so me and Wam went to Thomas' place and there were Eaming, Cal , Anne, Nikki and Thomas. I was wearing my Bright Eyes t-shirt and as soon as I entered the kitchen, which is where they were, Cal was like "hey! I like your t-shirt " I said "hey thanks! look, it glows in the dark!" and I turned off the kitchen light and showed them. Still, I knew something was wrong, cause Cal already knew that t-shirt so I supposed he could be drunk or so. Later on I found out he had been smoking you know what .
Hehe anyway, we had a nice time talking and stuff, and Wam was pretty surprised of how open they were, especially Cal hehe. I guess dutch people are not THAT open about their stuff. We had a nice laugh in general . But it was also sad that Anne was leaving. I said goodbye to her, gave her a big hug and told her " I hope we see each other again ".
We left probably around 12:30-1am, can't remember exactly, but when everyone, or almost everyone left. Me and Wam ere pretty tired, so after coming back to my place, I checked some stuff online and then we went to sleep around 1:30am. For some reason the laptop mouse wasn't working, it had gone insane and I didnt know how to fix it

The next day we got up around 12pm, had breakfast and then went to ride the H-Bahn! haha, that's the skytrain we have here at the Uni, it's pretty cool, feels like a rollercoaster. I had told Wam about it and she wanted to ride it, so we did it just for fun . But before that, I ran downstairs to say bye to Anne again, they were next to Thomas car, ready to leave.
Hehe after riding the H-Bahn we took the SBahn and went downtown for a walk. Went to Saturn and as usual I left saying " Argh I want so many things! " grrr.
We walked some more and then sat by a fountain downtown, and listened to some street musicians play. When they started asking for money, we got up and left lol.
Around 4pm we started walking back to the Hauptbahnhof to then go to Wal Mart and get some ingredients I needed to bake a lemon pie! . We got the stuff and then came back to my room. I checked my mailbox and the DVD of "CLueless" that I had bought some days on Ebay was there! So we watched a bit of it and then baked the pie. Then kept on watching it while the pie was cooling up a bit. I just love that movie, I'm glad I got the DVD
Anyway, Wammie loved my pie . Oeh and I forgot to say she brought a MUSE poster for me, cause she doesn't like them much anymore, so she gave me her poster you'll see a pic .
Some time later Thomas came over and we played UNO! At first I was playing pretty good and then Thomas began to win a lot and then also Wam. But still, I won more times than them
We played several times hehehe, it's pretty addictive!! Then around maybe 2am Thomas left and me and Wam were pretty tired so we soon went to bed.
The next day we slept in hehe, not that long but still. Got up and baked pancakes for breakfast! Well I'd say breaklunch cause we ate them around 2 or 3pm . I had made homemade manjar (cant explain what it is, but som people already know ) so we put some in our pancakes. Afterwards we played more Uno until Wam had to leave. I took her to Duisburg again where she could take the ICE to go back to Arnhem and then Utrecht. I had a really nice time with her, thanks for coming Wammie

Saturday night I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone with Thomas! He liked it I bought the DVD for 5Euro and I'm planning on getting the other two soon
Then sunday I made a big effort to study some, but I didnt do much and then at night I watched Donnie Darko with Thomas. He didnt like it much, but I think that's also due to the fact that he dodn't understand it . I've watched it a few times already and I can't really say I understand. But I really like that movie.
Monday I had Marketing, was a pretty normal day, but I was already getting excited cause I'd be seeing Bright Eyes with Ayla the next day in Trier! I never used that smiley before hehe.
OK, so me and Ayla met in Düsseldorf tuesday around 12pm. Then took the train to Trier from there, it would be a long ride. We switched trains in Köln and then continued our way.
We arrived in Trier around 4:30pm, it was damn hot! And it also happened to be the beginning of the summer. We had a little map to be able to find the Kaiserthermen hehehe which is the venue where Conor would play, it was some sort of ancient Roman ruins or so, very cool!
We heard some noise inside and tried to look through some doors hehe and we got to see Conor rehearsing but just one song, I believe in Symmetry, cause before that we had gone to eat somethng, or else we'd faint!
More people were arriving, so we sat in the grass where the other people were and waited until they opened the doors... that was around 7:15pm We were standing in lne and then entered the place. It was sooooo cool! I'll post pics.
Anyway, me and Ayla managed to be on the front row and right in the middle, so we'd see Conor abouve us the whole time hihihi. My feet were getting pretty tired, but I didnt care lol.
Around 8:15pm the other band that was touring with Bright Eyes, The Faint, started playing. It was nice! they're music was pretty catchy, kinda techno, but also rocky, I can't describe what style it is, but it was nice And they were dancing all the time and also the audience. The day was still pretty sunny by then. They played for maybe 50 minutes and then people came on stage and started arranging it for Bright Eyes. They came on the stage around 9:30pm, first the whole band, and also some people from The Faint who were also playing with. And then the last to appear was Conor! he was wearing a hoodie, pretty crazy if we consider how hot it was . Anyway, they started playing, it was really loud and cool! And Conor was really into the show the whole time, he was drinking beer and talking a lot and he was saying all the time "this must be how the Roman ruins look like!" and then "make some noise for the Romans!! Make some noise for The Faint!! Make some noise for this whole look!" hehehe he said that like 3 times . Anyway, as encore to the show he played lover I don't have to love and Easy/Lucky/Free. Before that, in one song he had jumped off stage and walked (well ran) right in front of us! that was so cool and he's so small! Anyway, during Easy/Lucky/Free he did that again and this time he was singing right in front of me for a moment and I didn't stop looking right in his eyes, it was scary, I knew he'd so something...and then suddenly!! He grabbed my head and kissed my cheek! that was awesome! it was so crazy and then he grabbed ayla and like 3 other people next to her, including two boys i think haha he was so drunk, I could smell the beer in my wet cheek hahaha that was Great!!
Anyway, then he went back on the stage to finish the song, it was all really crazy and at the end his mic stopped working so he couldn't say Thanks or something at the end. And we was lying on the floor and almost threw up! poor thing. He shouldn't drink so much
Anyway, after it ended me and Ayla were like breathless. It was so great. There was a Canadian girl behind us and she asked where we were from, since we were speaking English. She was an exchange student too and she asked one of the security people to gave her a bottle lid Conor had dropped haha. Me and Ayla wanted a Setlist!!
Anyway, we wanted to wait for Conor and meet him, so after leaving the Canadian girl we went outside and sat in a park that's right next to the KAiserthermen. That was around 11:15pm.
Then we walked a bit around and sat on the grass, near their busses hehe. Two german guys were sitting in front of us, on a bench and then suddenly one of them approached to me and asked whether I could meet his friend lol. So I said hmmmm well ok! So he brought his friend and they talked to us for a little while and then left. That was funny. I have german fans!
It was getting cold, so then we got up form the grass and sat on the bench where those guys were at first. Then a lot of people walked by us! People form The Faint and Bright Eyes, but no Conor yet! hehe, but it was so cool to see al those people walking in the park hehe. And there were a lot of Germans who had been to the show, also sitting in the grass talking and such.
Around 1:30am Conor finally came out. But two girls were running after him so when he passed by me and Ayla I didnt dare to get up and say something, so we just stared at him argh!! and then he got lost with those two girls in the woods in the park! And then the whole crew was looking for him with flashlights and stuff cause they had to go! They were screaming "Conooooorr!! where are you! we're waiting for yooooooooooooou!!" haha that was so funny, that I got up from my bench and tried to get cloer in the woods, but it was dark! Then I kept walking and Ayla joined me too. Then suddenly a shadow walked by me, and I was hesitating "hmmm could that be him? Nah, it's too tall to be him!" hehe and it turned out it actually was him! Argh so then he walked to the bus finally. I didnt dare to say anything, again! But well, at least I saw him very close and he kissed me! hahahaha
Anyway, after that me and Ayla walked to the train station, we had to take the 3:55am train to Koblenz and then take another train there to Düsseldorf. Then Ayla would take a train there to Venlo and me to Dortmund. We were soooo tired, but the whole thing was so weird and exciting! we tried to sleep a bit in the trains, but it wasn't possible, at least for me.
We arrived in Düsseldorf finally around 8:30am and then just walked a bit around the station, waiting for our trains. Ayla left at 9:48 and I left at 9:55 and was home around 11am. It was aaaaaaalll so amazing, I really had the best concert ever, it was even better than the first time I saw him in February And it's so great that I'll see him again in July this time in Amsterdam

Well my dear friends, I hope you had fun reading This was long! And now enjoy the pics! I hope I get to meet him in Amsterdam and get a pic of us together

Hellooooooo my dear people, readers, lurkers, etc etc!
I'm here again, with a few stuff to tell. Not the most exciting thing in the world, but if you're bored, then sit here and read!

So, today is sunday, a very boring day, altho I should be busy studying *rolls eyes at herself* I felt like updating this thing, so that's what I'm doing .
Last week, I went to the cinema with Steffi on friday, she's from Leverkusen hehe so we met there and went to see Star Wars! I had to see it in German tho but I'm very proud of myself because I understood most of it . And it's a great movie! As soon as I got home I felt like watching all the rest of the episodes!
Anyway, it was a nice time with Steffi, altho I experienced the hottest day I had ever experienced in my 21 years of existence 37 degrees it was horrible. But the cinema was fresh enough hehehe.
Saturday hmmm...what did I do? Hmmm wait I have to remember! Aaaaaaahhhh ok, in case I remember later, I'll write it
Anyway, sunday Thomas was coming back from France! so I decided to bake a cake! Which unfortunately burnt a bit but I just removed the burnt part and for the rest it was pretty yum .
Oeeeh I just remember what I did saturday I went to Düsseldorf! Yeah I went all day there with Josh, Eaming and two german friends o Eamings. There were gonna be some fireworks because of a japanese celebration, but we went there earlier to walk around the city and stuff. It was a hot day, but not as horrible as the previous . I had a pretty good time and spoke loads of German! Something I don't do very often, but ah well . The fireworks were supposed to begin at 10:30, so we were sitting by the Rhein and lots of people were there too. Eaming and me had to go find Joseph and were also a bit hungry, so we got up from where we were sitting with the group and went to get pizza. Unfortunately the place was sooooooo damn full of people that afterwards we wanted to go back to our place but couldnt! so we stayed with Joseph and some friends who were with him and just watched the fireworks among a huge amount of people! They were quite beautiful .
There were probably a million people around the streets, so it was pretty hard to make our way back to Hauptbahnhof and then take the train back to Dortmund! it was just a huge mass of people moving, lol. Lynsey, Herve, Nicky and some others arrived a bit later than us and after the fireworks they stayed in Düsseldorf to go to bars and stuff. But me, Eaming and her german friends decided to go back home.
It was a pretty nice day .

Ok, so hehe, lets go on with sunday now. I chatted a bit with my parents as well that day . And I'm supposed to chat with them today, but my dad is away on msn and doesnt reply hehe.
So, Thomas got back that sunday evening and it was pretty nice to see him again . He was pretty tired also, from driving all the way from France! but he took turns with a german who was also on the car .
Monday! I didnt have class so I slept pretty long and then I cant really remember what I did the rest of the day until I met Thomas some time in the evening Oeh yes! I watched Star Wars episode 4 it was cool cause everything made much more sense after having seen the 3rd
Tuesday morning I had to read some stuff for my class in the afternoon, I always tell myself that I'll read them monday or during the weekend or something, but argh, I always do it the last minute . And I also need to start studying for my exams which are in July, but I don't start with it either! I'm so gonna fail
The rest of the week went by pretty nice actually . Nikki had gone to London to meet her boyfriend, who came there and then they'd come to Dortmund and stay for a few days. So on friday night she told us all to meet at Muckefuck to have some drinks and stuff. Me and Thomas decided to go there too. And there they were, but apparently we got there a bit late, cause some were like, drinking their 4th beer or so . Tim, Nikki's boyfriend was there and also his friend Phil. They're both reaaaally american! but nice.
After Muckefuck we moved to another bar called Bar Rock! It was nice there as well, I made some pics, so you guys will see
Cal was also there, I hadnt properly seen him for quite some days! So it was nice to see him again . Cal! if you read this, you're very special buddy! hihihi.
That night at Bar Rock Josh, Lynsey and me agreed to go to Essen the next day, a city that's very close to Dortmund. Josh was having visits as well, his friend Josh hehe. So the 4 of us, and maybe Cal, would go there saturday .
So, saturday I overslept as usual Lynsey was supposed to send me an sms to tell me what time to meet but she didnt, so Josh called me around 2pm asking where I was, to which I replied "I'm still at home ". He said he'd feel guilty if they went without me, so he said they'd wait, which was nice . I hurried and took the train to meet them at Hauptbahnhof. We took the train to Essen from there. It was a rainy day, but also sunny at the same time...you know...Germany ....or actually, Europe!!
Jacob also went there with us, but got lost like 10 minutes after we arrived
It was a nice day in Essen, they were celebrating some musical thing, so there were people singing in the streets and stuff, it was pretty nice! . And I made pics of that too! .
We walked around Essen, had a nice ice cream and made very silly pictures I also made a short video, but I'm not sure I can post it here...I'll try .
I arrived back home around 8:20pm, had something to eat, transfered my pics, and then later there was a party at the Catholic School right next to my Wohnheim, dedicated to exchange students. So me and Thomas got together around 10:40pm or something and went there. It was a bit boring at first but it was much more fun after, when more people arrived. There was a dance floor also, but I didnt feel like dancing I just don't like the music people dance to here, I mean, I like it, but to me that music isn't dancing music, it's more for listening. So I just cannot dance to it.
Anyway, it was a nice saturday I made many pics too.
I got a bigger memory card for my camera, so now I'm always making lots of pictures

And now it's sunday and I'm waiting for my dad to react on msn, but he doesnt! and later there's a grill party at Nikki's, so I'll go there soon
Thanks for reading guys and don't forget to make comments! they moticate me to write more .
hugs for everyone.

Hello my dear friends!
Here I am again after hmmm 10 days! Well, there havent been extremely interesting things going on, but ah well, for me it keeps being amazingly great to be here. I am still very happy and I dont wanna leave .
I wrote an email to my aunt in Canada a couple of days ago and she told me that she understands how frustrating it can be sometimes when you dont have enough money to do the things you want. But that I am too young to be worrying about that, and that I still have time to do those things eventually. So, I should have fun and enjoy the things I do have.... and wow I am lucky . So Im gonna stop complaining about the stupid money. There are things I can do, and things that for the moment I cannot. But those things that I can do are the ones I should be happy about, instead of being sad about things I dont even have .
Today is Tuesday and a moment ago I got to be part of a homevideo with the Hausmeister hehe, it was pretty cool. They came, rang my bell and there was this guy with a huge video camera filming! I had been told yesterday that we were gonna do this today, but that was a surprise! Hehe so I had to quickly improvise . The Hausmeister was in front of my door holding a piece of underwear and I had to say "yes its mine! where did you find it " and then he'd start telling that because of my bra the washmachines were kaputt! Hehehe we had to film it about 5 times, but it was fun . And now Im gonna be a in a homevideo here and other students can see me even after Im gone hehe. I had seen videos like that before, with the Hausmeister and other students from our buildings, like short movies . And now Im in one of those hehe yay.
Anyway, I got up quite early for that, so Im kinda sleepy right now.
Last week was a pretty normal week, I had classes, was with Thomas , saw Nikki and Cal a couple times. And also Lynsey, Eaming and some of the others.
Thomas was pretty busy during the week, working on his Abschluss hehe, well hmm Im not sure about the English word for that, maybe Thesis would do? We say "Memoria" in spanish. Its something you have to work on when you're about to graduate from Uni, write a lot about a certain subject you choose and that has to do with your studies. Anyway, he was busy on that, but we still had time to see each other. On sunday he was gonna leave pretty early to go back to France with some German and French students in order to participate in some activities or something with them at his Uni in Tours. So we had to say goodbye on saturday night hehehe but Im gonna be fine, Im a strong girl! Or at least I try to be!
I miss him! But he'll be back this time .

Yesterday I had Marketing and then nothing else during the day. I agreed to go jogging with Florence and it turned out pretty good! We certainly are getting better at it. We sucked the first times we attempted to go jogging hehe like, stopping every 4 minutes and stuff! But now it was much better, yeah. So, I think I might go again today by myself, cause she has no time and has to leave to Belgium tomorrow. And oh, how I need sports hehe. I wanna have my shape again. Not like its completely gone, no but Ive gained a couple kilo's here and I wanna get rid of them before going home, or at least, not gain a single more! Hehe. Luckily, Philipp said the bike he's gonna lend me is almost ready (he had to fix something) so that will be a good chance to do sports! And I really love riding bikes.
I chatted a bit with my parents during the weekend. And also a couple of friends from Uni. Chile is a mess hehehe its been raining a lot and there have been some Universities (including mine) on strike because of "Studiengebühren" . However, students are silly, cause they do these strikes when they shouldnt. I mean, I completely agree with what the Government is doing, and they should think a bit harder before going on these stupid strikes .
And my friends are also pretty stressed at Uni, cause our subjetcs are a bit hard..hehe I feel a bit guilty cause Im practucally on vacations here while they're breaking their backs studying But most of them are gonna go as exchange students during the first semester of 2006, so then its gonna be the other way around . And Im so gonna envy them...altho I doubt theyll have a better time than me or be as lucky as Ive been . Not like Im bragging about anything, but when I think about it, its been a bit too much hehe... Lets see why I consider myself lucky for being here...no particular order

1.- I had Philipp's help and support for months, so before coming here I already knew someone who would really care for me and help me in everything I could need . And so he has. He's the best.
2.- I already had plans to see my favourite band live
3.- I was gonna meet up with my internet friends! Something I was longing for for such a long time . And that was amazing, I love you guys.
4.- I wasnt only gonna improve my German but also my English! (my friends might only improve their english...if they're lucky hehehe kidding. )
5.- Something I wasnt aware of before coming here....but that has turned out to be one of my best reasons to be happy. I found love here! True love and that was something I never expected and its been great, every single day of it
6.- Ive met wonderful people here! People I know I will keep in touch with, or at least I'll try my best . And some of these people I am glad to be able to call friends.
7.- Ive gotten the opportunity to grow a lot and to do things I never thought I could do.
8.- Ive already seen three different countries and they've been beautiful and Im in love with them! hehe
9.- I could go on.... cause there are more reasons that will keep coming during the time I have left.

So yeah! I am so happy! Its a great feeling. And this is an experience I recommend to everyone.

OK my dear friends, I have to read some stuff for Uni right now, so Im gonna stop here. Hope you liked reading my update and I hope it will be more interesting next time
Lots of love

Caro

Holaaaaa

Aunke no kiero aprender frances .

Abrazos y besos

Hey my lovely people!
Here I am again! don't ocmplain cause this time Im taking very little in updating you, just a bit more than a week! Yay. Well today's Friday and in my last update I said I was going on a road trip to Belgium and The Netherlands...well Amsterdam actually! Cant believe I'll have to go there 2 more times! first the Bright Eyes gig July 12th and then there's a meet up with Brian! I don't really like AMsterdam that much and I'm going there more often than the dutchies themselves!
Anyway, lets begin!

So the morning we were leaving...guess what...I overslept! Thomas sent me a message around 7:55am to say "we are all ready and waiting for you downstairs!" and I was like nooooo. So I literally jumped form my bed and then jumped in the shower! and then jumped off the shower, jumped in my clothes, jumped down the stairs, and jumped in the car! I didnt take that long, I was veeeery quick! So luckily they werent mad or something
So the first stop of our trip would be Brussels! I tried to sleep some in the car cause I hadnt slept so much the night before...but I couldnt really sleep . Anyway, we got pretty early in Brussels, probably around 10:30. We walked around, took some pictures, got ourselves something to eat! We wanted to visit Florence but she sent us a message like when we were in Bruges already silly girl.
Anyway, after visiting Brussels and being amazed by the nice buildings and the statue of the guy who is peeing (which isnt actually the original one! I talked to Michiel and he said the real one is in Geraardsbergen, where his parents live! So Brussels is a rip off! ) we went back on our way to Bruges. We decided to stop in Ghent for a moment, which turned out to be a very nice city! And argh, I tried to contact Michiel to meet him for a moment but apparently we didnt get each other's sms's
grrr. Anyway, I loved Ghent! So now I have to decide whether I move there or to Utrecht ...no wait, there's Canada too! Argh too many options!

After visiting Ghent and taking a few pics we kept on driving until we arrived in Bruges. We were gonna stay in this cute little cabain in a camping place in the sourroundings of the city. It was a cold night, but luckily it had heating system! . We were all really tired, so first we went to eat somethin in the city and then went back to our cabain and got some rest. The next morning we woke up and had breakfast and then headed off to Bruges. Very beautiful city I must say! I loved the medieval feeling you get while walking around it . And of course the fact that there were many spanish speaking people by that point I was already getting sick of hearing French 24/7 I felt really stupid.
Anyway, we looked somehwere to have lunch at, everything's so expensive that we ended up eating some fries and me and Thomas also had some very yummie pizza baguettes!
After eating we kept walking and making some more pictures and then in the evening began the trip to Amsterdam! I wasnt extremely excited about it, especially cause I had already been there...and cause going to Holland without meeting up with Jap, Wam, Ayla or Hester or any dutchies, well, it just wasn't the same!
Luckily my next two times in Amsterdam will be for that and to see Conor
OK, so we drove through Brabant and then Rotterdam, didnt really stop anywhere until we reached Amsterdam, but I just love the feeling of being in cities I love Holland so much! I dont know why I didnt apply to go study there Altho my parents would've found it a bit strange maybe... hmm...at least here I got the excuse of wanting to improve my german hehe kidding.

So we arrived there, it was a bit hard cause we were kinda lost . But I didnt mind cause I wasnt driving, just listening to my Bright Eyes cds with my walkman cause I didnt want to hear more French . So we got to the camping place...this time there was no sweet little cabain with nice heating system, no! This time they were tents, freezing ones! Oeh it was so horribly cold inside! We left our stuff there and then went to a bar which is at the same cmaping place. It was so warm hehe we had something to eat and drink and then suddenly a Dutch guy comes to our table to invite us to play pool with him! It was a lot of fun, his name was erm Jogen? yeah Jogen and he lived in the sourroundings from Amsterdam. And he was very good at pool! I kinda sucked, but I did a couple of good moves from time to time
Thomas sucks a bit too hehe sorry if you read this sweetie but you do!!
Anyway, afterwards we decided to go to bed and freeze!...hehe but we were not alon in our trent anymore! Elodie and Thibault got there before me and realised there was another guy sleeping in one of the beds! And we were all like "what are you doing here!? " and the poor guy opened his eyes and was like "errr I'm sleeping" "Oh but you are in the wrong tent! We payed for it!" "well I payed for it too! " so in the end it turned out we didnt have the tent for ourselves, there were 6 beds, so there could be someone else in it. Haha it was so funny, then we were all apologising to him "sorry man, we didnt know sorry!" He just stayed that night hehe.
And then the next day we went walking around Amsterdam!

We arrived at the centre and then we split: me and Thomas and the other three Franchies...
I was looking for a silly t-shirt I saw the last time I was there... it said TUNA instead of PUMA and had a fish jumping argh but I couldnt find it!
Anyway, we ate fries again, with a yummie sauce which name Ive forgotten and then kept walking. I wanted to go to an Albert Heijn and get some bonbonblocs....but they hadnt any they were sold out! so i got stroopwafels instead. And ontbijkoek!Oh and I forgot to say that at some belgian supermarket I got speculaas and a yummie cote d'Or nutella thingie...it was goed!
And at that same Albert Heijn I looked for Tompoezen cause I wanted to eat one with Thomas! Cause his friends call him Tom Pous cause his lastname is Poussard, so... anyway, we ate him together! It was yum!
Anyway, at 7:30pm we met with the others again and went to get something to eat. I had a pizza...I always have pizzas everywhere, lol. And uhm afterwards we just went back to the camping, cause we didnt wanna go to some other bar and spend more money good thing cause I was almost running out of it
Before going to bed we went to that bar again, but there was no one to play pool with, so it was a bit boring. Actually, we just wanted to kee ourselves from the cold, so thats why we went to sit there
After a while we went to bed.

The next day it was time to go back to Dortmund! But before that we stopped in Utrecht to have something for lunch and also visit the city! But as I said before, being there without wam or jap or the others wasnt the same, sniff but ah well, I'll go there again as soon as I can

Well my dear people, that was my weekend! This week has been normal, I went shopping yesterday with Cal hadnt seen him in some time. And Ive been with Thomas as well . But he has a lot of work, so we dont have much time to see each other, but there always is
Oh and as for my disease, I'm fine now! the infection is gone so I'm healthy again

Hope to be updating you guys soon with some fun stuff. Thanks for reading :grouphug:

Oh and if you wanna se epics, they're in the previous spanish update, at the end
